Voies Navigables de France deploys optical fiber on the river network
While Voies Navigables de France (VNF) and the State have signed a contract of objectives and performance until 2029, waterways are more than ever at the heart of the ecological transition. Part of the credits is allocated to the deployment of the optical fiber along the Briare canal (45) for the motorized section. A mission entrusted to the Sogetrel Group.
Quality and reliability
VNF has chosen us for the connection of the locks in optical fiber over 14 km along the Briare canal for the motorized section.
The objective? Facilitate infrastructure management while improving the quality and reliability of the service provided (network monitoring, automation and remote control of locks and mobile points). Our service includes the supply of optical fiber, but also the drawing of the fiber in existing ducts, the installation of a drawing chamber in front of the works, the connection within the works with the corresponding protections and, finally, the commissioning tests.
